Returns, Refunds & Exchanges
At Lantern & Lace, each item is thoughtfully curated and hand-packed with care. Because many of our products — especially our Blind Date With a Book packages — are curated and surprise-based, all sales are final and we do not offer returns or exchanges.
However, if you experience any issues with your order, please email us at lanternandlaceco@gmail.com with your order number and a brief description of the issue. We’re always happy to help where we can.
For our local Fraser Valley/Lower Mainland customers, we understand that occasionally you may receive a book you already own. If this happens, please reach out to us and we will see what we can do.
To help us avoid sending a book you already own, you’re welcome to leave a note at checkout with titles or authors you’ve already read. While we can’t guarantee duplicates will always be avoided, we will do our best when this information is provided.
Books are selected based on the preferences provided at checkout and may include overstock or publisher remaindered copies.
Damages & Issues
Please inspect your order upon arrival and contact us within 7 days of delivery if an item is defective, damaged, or incorrect. Include photos and your order details so we can review the situation and make it right.
If an item arrives damaged or there has been an error on our part, we may offer a replacement, swap, or refunddepending on the situation.
Final Sale Items
All items are considered final sale and cannot be returned or refunded.
Gift cards are also final sale.
Shipping & Delivery Policy
All orders are shipped from just outside of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Our current processing time is 3–5 business days, which includes preparing, packaging, and shipping your order from the date of purchase. Please note that this does not include transit time.
Shipping Times & Delays
Shipping estimates are approximate and may vary depending on your location and chosen shipping method. Once your order has been handed over to the courier, delivery times are outside of our control.
Delays can occur due to weather, postal service disruptions, customs, or other unforeseen factors. If your package hasn’t arrived by the estimated delivery date, please allow an additional 5–7 business days before contacting us.
Tracking & Lost Packages
Lantern & Lace is not responsible for missing or delayed packages shipped via untracked letter mail, as we are unable to locate or replace untracked shipments once they’ve been passed to the courier. For peace of mind, we recommend selecting a tracked shipping option at checkout.
International Orders
For orders shipped outside of Canada, customs duties, taxes, or import fees are the responsibility of the recipient.
